The traditional Nippon Joha Education Complex was built on about 25 acres of land by the gift of late Mir Samsujjoha Saheb, the son of Hardi village, and the son of late Golam Rasul Biswas, another son of Hardi village, Md. Nurul Islam. The institutions serving the complex are M.S.Joha University College, M.S.Joha Agricultural College, Mir Samsul Islam Polytechnic Institute, M.S. Joha Fisheries College, M.S. Joha Business Management College, Mir Samsuddin Ahmed Secondary School, Nippon Joha Technical School, M. S. Huda Institute of Medical Technology and Nargis Islam Lower Secondary Girls School have been established.
